i've decided to upload some of the art jam pieces that i've been doing on the VOIDforum since 2006. i'll only upload a few a day, so it won't overwhelm people too much (there are a LOT) XD and most liekly most of these will later end up in my scraps. so, enjoy the big upload of art while you can! ;3
jam was originally made by *angieness. i had a lot of fun with this one, and i really like how seel looks older (basically, just make your character old. from just a few years to....many many years) XD in this image seel is anywhere from 40-60 years old. i can't imagine her image changing too much, aside from adding wrinkles and lines. gave her some glasses because her eyesight is pretty bad (she is a canine after all), and as she gets older it just gets worse. also figured she'd still be fighting and kicking ass even when she's a rickety old lady, so i gave her lots of battle scars to show it  everything else is pretty much the same, lol. well i really liked this one....enjoy! Comments Still think this is major kickassery. Seel looks alot wiser, here.

I think you did a great job making her look older but not look grotesque like a lot of people do. If I had one criticism, just to keep up with the "advanced critique encouraged," I'd say that the scars would look more convincing if the outline interacted a little more with them, maybe bumping out or sinking in where the fur didn't grow back over the scar. really though,  , you're awful good at this stuff-- I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with a tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri rock! I need scissors! Sixty-one!  ah battle worn no better way to grow old imo

-- "If you poke it and it goes "WAH," you'll want to poke it again." -=Kraden  She's actually very charming as an older woman. She has that kind of all knowing look that I really enjoy in people's characters when they draw them older.
The wear and tear on her collar is a great little detail, it's very simple but helps to get you to realize it's old. Lovin' her wild hair by the way :3 ahahah yeah the scars were just......ech XD for some reason i've been looking at a lot of "noob" art lately, and i actually really love that flat scar look, so that's what i did for this one...
 but yeah if i ever drew it for a normal picture i'd add more depth to them somehow. thanks man! ;3don't be afraid to crit more! --  ~SEEL~sign up here for free video games: [link]  Seel is a cool grandma.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
